Kid Playing with Wooden Toys

2020 brought with it an unprecedented focus on keeping things clean. I sought to examine this problem within the realm of children's toys.

Schools in Asia task students with cleaning after classes are finished.

Involving children in chores earlier fosters good habits and gives them a greater sense of responsibility.

With this in mind, I decided to create a product to help children clean their toys.

Toys go in the basket which is pushed up and down while spinning. Water is agitated by the propeller. All of this is powered by turning the handle.

The final design uses the cam and propeller system to agitate the water while pushing the basket up and down.
